Planted tank help.

G'day, My name is Daniel and this is my first post on this forum.

I would like some advice on restocking my aquarium (plants and fish). I guess you could call it a rescape.

The plants aren't the problem, it is the fish. I currently have Neon tetras, Black neon tetras and guppies in there. The guppies and black neons are fine, but the neon tetras I bought were from a bad supplier and they spread contracted some form of scale disease that I have tried treating for months. they aren't going to die from it but no one will take in a diseased fish! I don't want to euthanize them but that might be my only choice.

Cheers

Daniel, welcome to TPT!

Are you looking for some ideas on what other fish to add to your aquarium?

Some pictures or info on your tank would be helpful.

I am looking at tearing it down and doing a rescape. I would like to know how to rehome my tetras that are diseased, I think euthanasia is the only way.

And I guess I would like some ideas on lighting, substrates etc. I am looking at replacing those.

what are your tank dimensions?

also tons of helpful information here:

if you tetras have neon tetra disease, then your only option would be to
separate or to euthanize, since there is no cure.

i would take all necessary step to confirm that the fish has an incurable disease before
putting them down.
