Adding nerite snails and a few more shrimp in a couple days. And I want to introduce a school of some sort. Still not sure what to add. I like natural and organic style fish. Nothing crazy or ornate. I want it to flow and still be comfy for them. Kinda stumped.
Turn the filters off all night? That's an idea. I'd have to keep the power head on though. I think I've settled on the idea of a school of black phantom tetras. How would they fare with only a power head at night? With the addition of the new wood I realize I need a few more shrimp as well. There's a lot of tiny cracks in it, forage freedom it would seem. Any tips on keeping the phantom tetras with anything I have?
I'm still holding off on the schooling fish. But It looks like I'll end up with black or red phantom tetras. I got 4 oto cats today to kind of play in the wood. There's still 20 ghost shrimp and the single rosy I dubbed "super sport" (ss minnow) I was also kicking around calling him Gilligan. Anyway, the plants I put into the cracks of the wood are already taking off well. I see roots making their way through the wood on all 4 types presented. I'll pick a community school and get about 10 tomorrow.
I will give them a look up. Thank you for the input. The brown spots are part of the plant. Not dirty or dying. I really love the look. I would like to find out exactly because the roots aren't buried right now. They are just setting in the cracks of the wood. I hope that's the right thing to do.
