Turtle tank or BN Pleco breeding tank?

I have a 20g long and I'm not sure what I want to keep in it. Should I do a turtle tank or an albino longfin (or L144) bristle nose breeding tank? I'm open to other ideas for a 20g long as well.

Money in the long run was the main incentive for making it a BN or Shellie tank. The extra income would help fund the hobby a bit. I was only looking to get one musk turtle if I were to make it a turtle tank. From what I've read, they're much smaller and easy to care for. I wouldn't think it would be smelly if I'm overfiltering it.

I have 3 RES they don't stink much if properly cared for. Water changes are a huge must!

Plus a 20 gallon long is not big enough for a Musk turtle.

Re: Turtle tank or BN Pleco breeding tank?

No shellie fans out here I'm assuming. For BN plecos, would you rather have an albino longfin or an L144?

L144 seem like they would make you more money since they are a bit pricier

Well... Over here Albino longfins are $7 a fry. I can't remember what the L144 were going for. I think it was $5 a fry. I'm not sure which would get more demand.

$20 for a 4" seems great to me. There's a breeder here that sells L144 fry for $4 ea. You wouldn't happen to know where I could find some longfin L144 would you?
