driftwood, to attach or not attach???

so all my plants i need except the mosses are on its way here soon.
i have a lot of driftwoods and im still undecided whether to attach mosses etc to it.
is it a lot of work to prune them once attached and growing?
i like clean looks and not crazy like java moss. what do u recommend?
anyone think i should leave the branchs alone?

lastly, after i hardscape and plant most of rooted and stem plants, is it difficult to pull the woods later to attach later after water is all in etc?

It's probably going to be quite a bit easier if you try and attach things before/during set up. Trying to do something underwater/inplace just makes it more complicated and difficult

I don't think you would have to prune moss often, if at all, most of them tend to be fairly slow growing.
