Help with glosso stigma

I ordered a pot of glossostigma from and was unhappy to see that most of it was dead. I tried to sort through it and plant the more lively ones on the ground. Will it recover? This is a new tank, that I actually just started today. It is a 15 gallon with 2 23 watt cfl lights. Because the lights are big they push the incandescent fixture above the glass a bit I was thinking about puting duck tape around the bottom of the fixture where some of the light escapes so that too much light doesn't escape from the tank. I also will dose pps pro. Start with 1.5 ml for now. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated thanks guys

Be careful with the fixture. I put two of those lights in a plastic fixture and melted it. I would use the smaller 13 w bulbs which fit. They will still give you plenty of light. It isn’t possible for me to comment on the glosso without seeing it but growing it emersed would be the easiest way to revive it in my opinion.

It's hard to say without seeing what you got going on, but patience is key. I put a pot of glosso in my tank two weeks ago and it's just started showing some new growth in the past few days. I would give the surviving pieces a week or so to get over the initial transplant shock, then go from there.
