Thread like worm

My 30G fresh water tank is quite new about 2.5 months old. Today when changing water, saw a small thread like worm swimming. Its about 1cm long and its only very small probably as thick as a hair.
Any idea what it is? Is it harmful?

I see those every once in a while. My Beckfords pencil fish will normally eat them. I believe they are nematodes that are a sign of over feeding. I don't think they are harmful.

Detritus worms. I took care of some of them in my 2.5 with a partial water change the other day and haven't seen them since. Kind of gave me the creeps a little bit, though.

Does anyone have any pics. Have some sort of worm kinda describing the one that he/she was talking about. I see them when I turn the lights on in the morning over the water line.

Detritus Worms (Whiteworms) / Annelids.
They feed on decomposing materals.

Those are what I've seen in mine from time to time. Like I said, the Beckford's Pencil Fish seem to eat them. Nothing else in my tank will.
