PPS-Pro method of fertilizing with dirt gravel

I will put about a couple of inches of scotts miracle gro organic potting mix with a one inch layer of fluorite as my cap. I was wandering if it would be ok to use pps pro fertilization with this substrate type?

I think so, at least that is my plan. Although, tbh, I haven't done a solid dosing schedule on any of my dirted tanks yet. I find I still get things growing like a weed with jut the dirt, high light, and co2....but I think the nutrients in the dirt only suffice for the first few months before you need to start dosing.
