Frozen Plants

Big mistake. Left my large amazon sword plants (2' +) in the car overnight in a styrofoam box while staying at the in-laws. Temps dropped to single digits. When I took the plants out, some of the leaves had ice on them. Is this a complete loss or is some of it still salvageable?

IDK, just try. If they don't work, you've learned a lesson. Great! If they do work, yay! Celebrate by using them in an awesome tank!

I say just put it in your tank but monitor both the plant and the water quality to make sure it doesn't rot and foul the tank if it has indeed died.

If the roots are still alive then they should be able to bounce back.

That looks like a perfectly good plant. The roots look good so even tho the leaves are yuck, it should grow new ones.
