Will these shrimp produce enough waste to keep bacteria going?

I picked up 8 small, brown shrimp (they were in a tank with Amano shrimp - but look like wild-type Neos) to help with some algae in my newly planted 10g tank. The tank is about 4 weeks old, and completed a fishless cycle about a week ago.

Since then I had been supplementing with daily ammonia up to 1-2 ppm (next day, no ammonia, no nitrites). But now I have the 8 small shrimp. I doubt they will produce enough waste to keep the bacteria happy - but will adding ammonia kill the shrimp? The fish will be added next weekend (Saturday).

Thanks!

The shrimp will produce enough ammonia to keep enough bacteria alive for them to cycle. The bacteria will be numerous enough to keep the waste neutralized, no more, no less.

Will I experience enough of a decrease in bacteria population with the decreased nitrogen waste production in a one week period that I will run into trouble when I stock the tank with fish?

When you stock with fish do so in stages and bacteria will grow with the increased bioload.
