I think I'm addicted!

Last spring, I was just starting to think about starting a tank (after more than 20 years) as I saw a planted tank link and how far the equipment has come. This board made it possible, back then I would never have been able to find the plants!

Now I have a 36 Gallon 'show' tank at home (and my Wife actually loves it!), a 3 gallon shrimp tank (planted) on my desk at work here, containers of Metricide and ferts, mineral and calcium powders, food, filters, lights, tools, semi-emersed plants growing in little vases (just to see how they do), A Double Gulp cup with rechaged purigen soaking behind my montior, another for Indian Almond leaves to pre-soak in, jugs of water under my desk, all sorts of supplies stashed in my desk at work and closet at home, and find myself drifting off the movie on the TV (next to the tank) to have serious thoughts if I should trim that plant over there and fill in over here, Should I upgrade to a Ray2? how am I going to catch all those baby platies without tearing up my plants? maybe I should add some other species (where the heck would it fit?) and should I start adding a bubble of Co2 every 2 to 3 seconds or so? How can I get my assassin snails to stick to the pond snails and not the pretty Ramshorns? I wonder if I have enough pond snails under the rim to do another raok for the loach/puffer people? I wonder if I could fit another planted tank in here for a German Blue Rams species tank? How about Discus - nah, too much work, too pricey. Think it's time to clean the canister yet? Where could I get black plastic piping and all the fittings to redo my plumbing? could my 406 push a purigen reactor?

These things happen. *nod*

I'm not quite there, yet. But I feel like reading that was gazing into a window to the future. It's both scary and hilarious.

"Aquariums are like science, art, and hypno-therapy, all rolled into one," I insisted.
"You're not putting a hundred gallon tank in the living room," my roommate replied.

I know the feeling. My planted tank has been my recent obsession lately. Should I get this plant, should I trim this one, or split this one and replant. Love the shirt design. It's an addiction for sure.

I made the mistake of putting my biggest tank on the hutch over my desk at home. Yesterday, I was trying to get some work done, and kept getting distracted by my tank. 2 hours later, I had my hands in the tank, doing some trimming and rearranging. After I dripped some water on my laptop, I decided to do all my work in the living room from now on.

#plantedtankproblems? Seriously, though, I can't do homework in my bedroom for this reason hahaha
