Ah looky here... more paintball CO2 questions...

Hey guys! Need your help identifying an issue with my PB CO2 system. After a lot of sitting on the shelf, being scared to try it again after.... the incident. To those who don't know, "the incident" refers to a dangerous mistake my dad made helping me set up the system in the first place. I thought that the PSI had to be in between 500 and 800 PSI, and it had been at 1000. I said just leave it, I would find out about it later. Well, he took it into his own hands, and ended up partially unscrewing the ASA on/off valve.

The cold and dangerous carbon dioxide spurted all over my bedroom, freezing the connections, forcing them to stay open. He swore over an over, and we carried it outside until it ran out. Then he vowed we would throw it away. When I explained what happened, he wouldn't even consider me keeping the thing. I finally came up with a few articles and videos, enough to convince him (Very grumpily) to try again.

Well, we didn't.

And it sat on the shelf... until now.

And now, onto the problem itself. I turned it back on, and it worked without a glitch for about an hour, then the bubble count decreased to about 1 bubble per 3 seconds. I found that the PSI had gone from 1000 (Where it usually is to work properly) to less than 400. I screwed the ASA on/off valve on tighter, and it did the same time a little while later. I did it again, and it did the same thing later. What do I do? I'll leave it alone until I get an answer.

I want to get a full, real regulator, but my dad needs a valid and sensible reason to replace this system, so please give a thoughtful answer!

Thank you so much!!

Did you refill it after the insistent? Also is the tank upright or on its side? Do you feel it getting cold? What is your out psi?

Yes I did refill it. It is upright, I made sure it was when I set it up. It is cool to the touch, yes. I don't have anything to measure the out PSI with.

Get the paintball adapter and a regulator. It will save you all of the drama and show you all your psi readings. I'm sure others would concur that it is a worthy investment. Also much safer.
