I tried to grow pogostemon erectus, and it died. That's just about the only plant I've been able to kill completely. Even when I tried to save a few stems in my emersed setup it just died out.

Ottelia mesenterium from matano-towuti lake, celebes, is the most difficult plants... Only able to keep 1-2months and they'll start to get smaller and smaller..

Dwarf hairgrass ! I just can't get that stuff to grow upright , it just bends down and looks terrible instead of growing upright like a lawn !

My luck with hornwort is miserable

I got a nice healthy clump, next day, all the stems shed their leafs at the same time......such a mess to clean up

Currently, my difficult plant is my Red Cambodia, but my list of things I am going to attempt that I probably shouldn't attempt will be growing soon.

For some reason, I have terrible luck with Crypt spiralis. I know it's an easy plant but eventually it just dies out on me every time.

+2 on rotala macrandra. I've bought it from 3 different people on tpt. It is the only plant that never looks healthy when I get it. It never grows whatsoever. It has always just seemed to disappear. I have grown lots of other "hard to grow plants with little to no issues. What's the deal with this stuff. I've put it in multiple tanks, multiple different situations with no luck.

What's the trick? I have a feeling Tom knows

Haha, yes, trimming with the hands is an arduous task indeed.

Elatine Hydropiper. Not that I can't grow it, but very unforgiving on changes, especially CO2.

I have tried java moss twice and it gradually shrinks down to nothing but a pile of brown string. I don't really know where it goes.
