What would you grow or breed for selling if you had a 72"x18"x24" and a 48"x24"x24" with a back-up 55 gallon barrel? So far it just looks like I'm growing some Riccia Fluitans and Water Wisteria, but I'm open to any suggestions.
I'm partial to discus but its a real commitment. If you want to go saltwater sea horses I'm thinking maybe next year to try since in Canada you cannot import them is what I'm told.
I look to the fish which fit my water and then go into the fish which are less common. In hard alkaline water African cichlids are a natural but I don't want to grow out common fish so do those which at hard to find but fun for me to breed and growout to size for the local shops.
If in Florida where you would be in competition with so many big farms, Find a niche type and go with it but don't expect to get rich!
Are you planning to sell to hobbyists or to a LFS? I'd visit a LFS and ask them what they might be willing to buy from you or what they find hard to source that their customers ask for.
