About 15in tall, mature wood with attached live plants.
Need to reduce the number of wood I have in my tank and this one has plants attached, so I can't just toss it in a box to reuse later. Kind of rather sell it than peel off the plants, don't have much room for them anywhere anyway....
The problem with pricing on something like this is finding somebody close enough that also wants to pay the price. Shipping is pretty close to being out due to the way shipped stuff is handled. Heavy things like wood, have to be tied down really tight to keep them from flying out through the box. But that gets really hard to do when you have something like plants that need to stay wet and also not be crushed.
The combo of heavy, rough and tough and lightweight, fragile makes me think it is not a good deal to ship. You might work out an agreement with the buyer but it still leaves you with a ruined product if it goes wrong.

Part of what prompts me to take line is when I read the ads from the pros who ship plants and hard stuff like we often want to buy in a single shipment. Many will not ship soft goods with the hard stuff. Even the hard stuff like fish food in cans can get enough momentum going to mash other stuff in the box. Impellers are something that I find gets broken way too often as something lands on the fins. I often set here on the computer and hear the box hit the front door or porch.
The wood looks like Mopani or similar, which isnt exactly cheap if you buy it from a store.
Common variety Anubias and Java fern, both nice but inexpensive.
I seriously doubt you can get $50 bucks for it, but you might! Ive been wrong before. :hihi:
As for shipping, you'll want to use priority so it arrives in 2-3 days. The size is going to require a medium box, which is like 13-14 bucks. At least I think it'll fit in that rectangle medium box, might take a large.
You could gamble with first class taking 3-4 days to reach someone relatively close. Those plants are pretty tough and "should" be OK for that long, in moderate temperatures. But then you have to pay for the weight, and that wood is heavy. Probably be just as cheap to use priority.
Packing it securely where it doesnt bang around shouldnt be a problem. Wrap it wet paper towels, bag it up and put it in the box. Then use wadded up newspapers to fill the empty spaces real good so it cant move around. Voila!
If you're in a more populous area, list it on Craigslist.
If you list it somebody will usually offer ten less and then you could try to haggle. People always seems to offer ten less on Craigslist but there's no shipping cost involved. If it sits for a while you can just lower the price--let the market decide the value.
I have a bunch of those air bladders & bubble wrap I was thinking of using in a way to keep it still in the box. But I'll list it locally, too.
