A woman you have to buy stuff for is no good. They evaporate when the stuff stops coming.
I am so greatful for my wife. She never moans about anything, and has put up with my manic drive for more than 20 years.
She would look at me with suspicion if I had to pitch up with gifts. She does like it if you pick up nice rocks for her though.

If not then I think it must have gold flake embedded in the acrylic.

Let me know what your answer is, if she accepts it. My wife has been repeatedly asking me the same one, usually a few days after I do my tank cleaning and water change.

I've been married 26 years and mine has put up with a ton. She is pretty accepting of my hobby and she likes the tansk. She thinks the living room is starting to look like a lfs lol. As soon as we get our down stairs done I will have around 350sq ft in my own room for my tanks plus I can then set up my 125g that is sitting empty. YAY!!

I'd get a zirconia and say it was a diamond. You will save a lot of money and be able to get a great filter upgrade

Lost one of my favorite girlfriends the morning she stepped on the blue lobster in the kitchen ,that had escaped the tank.
Lost another with my frequent fishing at night/early morning ,despite invitation's for her to join me.
Afraid I am too old now to put forth much effort, and or change my way's ,but when I wore a much younger man's clothes,well...

Great idea. No filter upgrades though, Ive started building my own filters and I think I am going to continue down that path...maybe. I have to say I wouldnt turn down a good deal on an eheim.

If they, be it man or woman, cant accept us for who we are it is never going to work out anyway. My hobby is aquariums and I dont see that changing anytime soon, as a matter of fact I see it expanding if anything. Just kind of how life goes I reckon.

My wife thinks tanks are great but then she has prior experience with me. When we had basements, I did model railroads. She will gladly agree to stop at every LFS if she never has to chase a railroad track and stop in all the "better" parts of town!! There's nothing like stopping under a trestle to take pictures to make a girl appreciate the beauty of fish?

Spent 15 yrs working for railroad contractor, building miles of track, working derailment's.
Hard, bust ass work.(Makes you hard)
Would take the weekly maint of my fish tank's any day over pounding railroad spikes, lugging railroad ties.
I live along the river, and hear the freight train's a couple miles distant each morning, and late of an evening.
They are rolling on rail that I helped build from Missouri to Galveston, and as far east as Philly,Baltimore.
I too had a model train set/layout.but all that survives is a model Union Pacific Engine setting on the mantel.

Railroad is hard work, I know several railroad guys (never done it myself) and a couple for them are jacked up from it. Bad backs, bad knees etc. Even being an engineer takes a toll let alone what @roadmaster was doing. I guess I know now where the name come from.
