My first thought: why would anyone do such a thing?
My second thought: wow, that's pretty cool. I've never seen anything like it. You can tell by the other decor in background that guy likes to do interesting things with design.
I think I've seen that exact setup before but never saw that video. I think its an awesome idea especially for something like a pond where you normally can only see down into the water. This allows you to also look through the side the way you would an aquarium. Awesome project!
Kind of like why would a person want to add wings and a motor to a bicycle? To see if they can make it work!
If wasting time was eliminated we would have to give up forums.
you call it wasting time, I call it killing time...
Is that your youngone in your avatar? Mine is almost 4 years old now... time goes by so quickly.
Wish I had some money though, there has been a giant sheet of thick acrylic on a local gumtree board for a while now.
Was going to be part of an above ground pool... I'd love an above ground pond.
if it ways bigger it would much better, its almost the same like having a room under a pool. Doing something that you love is not considered wasting time. Same goes for DIYers, they spend time to build/create things that are already being sold in the market.
I always thought one day I'd like to have a pond up against the house, with a window cut thru into a basement room so could view the fishes from underwater. This would be a lot easier to build. I looked for other versions people have built of this and some are waaay smaller- of them all I think this one was the best sized.
Yes exactly, haha. It's just a dream- I don't expect I'll ever actually do it. I'd be happy to one day just to have a small koi pond, but right now that's really far off as well. If ever.
