The only problem I encountered setting it up (well, the only non-personal stupidity problem
) was a slow leak from the main O-ring. Reseating the seal and a bit of plumbers grease took care of that easily.
The pump itself is really nice. It is big, heavy and quiet. The loudest thing about it is the slurping and clicking sounds from the CO2 injection. I'm running the stock impeller (no needlewheel or mesh) and the bubble size is actually really good. With the amount of gas we are injecting (I use 2-3 bps), I don't think fractioning impellers are actually necessary, though they might be a bit quieter.
