How difficult is it to raise an axolotl? Mainly, how often do you have to feed it? I'm gone 2-3x a year for a week at a time . I remember writing a report and wanting one back in 9th grade, haha!

Haha! I'm not sure vacation wise if they'd need a pet sitter or something but I'm feeding these juveniles earthworm pellets twice a day now. The hard work is done, raising wise!

I would be interested in any of the plecos, shrimp, and any plant trimmings you might have. I live near downtown austin.

theyre pretty hardy and easy to care for
As a juvenile they should be fed once or twice a day
Im feeding mine once a day but sometimes skip a day
When they get older, around 5 inches, feeding once every couple days should be fine
Once theyre about that size you should be able to skip an entire week of feeding with no problem
Mine has gone that long and been fine
If you leave for a week you could drop some feeder fish in there, just make sure you have them quarantined for at least a month to ensure they are not diseased
