Texas Aquarium Store list

YOU CAN FIND THE MOST UP TO DATE VERSION OF THE FILE VIA THIS LINK.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/hro8nw9k03....xls?n=5880573

I have been compiling a list of aquarium stores in Texas for a couple of Facebook groups I belong too. This came about because people were asking about stores in a certain city. Maybe they just moved to town, or they are going out of town and want to check out the local stores while there.

If you know of any stores not on the list I would appreciate you replying to this thread so I can add them to the list.

You can download the list via this dropbox link. It is an Excel document in XLSX format. It is sorted alphabetically, but you can sort it by city if you prefer.

Thanks for your help

Austin:
Gallery of Pets
http://www.galleryofpets.com
11689 Research Blvd Austin, TX 78759

saltwater and freshwater

Not a bad place, not as fancy as Aquatek, but they have a nice plant selection, and tend to carry freshwater shrimp like RCS.

There is also Aqua Dome. I can't remember the exact streets, but it is near Manchaca and Ben White. I probably didn't spell that one street completely right. It's in Austin.

Thanks for putting this list together. Not many good Aquarium stores in DFW that aren't expensive. Really not many at all. Thanks to this list I was able to find a really good hole in the wall store.

AquaTek is a good place for more unusual freshwater fish. Very healthy fish, a decent little saltwater selection, and I love the freshwater selection.
Not only do they have some of your basic fish like several kinds of cories and tetras and some nice bigger-ish fish like angelfish, they have more unusual-ish things like pygmy cories, marbled hatchetfish, algae-eater gobies, a few brackish species, gudgeons, and halfbeaks. That's just a tiny list of what they have.
They also have 'saltwater tadpoles', AKA clingfish gobies, on a regular basis.
Another bonus is that they get bluefin killifish and swamp darters in with their ghost shrimp shipments every now and then, so if you're lucky you can pick up one of those unusual fish for something like two bucks.

I can't believe I forgot about Fish and Chrips. I loved to visit that store when I lived in Dallas.

I added a couple of new stores in the south Texas, San Antonio area. Plus several in the Dallas Fort Worth area.

If anyone knows of any other stores not on the list please let me know.

The Excel sheet is attached to this thread via a compressed zip file. Or you can download it via the dropbox link below.
