Lol! I couldn't really tell what it was from that first pic. Seeing the other pic, I'd definitely toss them in with the exodons if I were to get them. Just to see what would happen lol.

I need to get some updated pics of my tanks..

My 12 g long is having a crazy amount of a hairy looking algae growing in the moss and a small portion on my dwarf hair grass...

I'm about to rip the branch wood out that has the hair algae growing in the moss and throw in some more stone.... ADG will be getting another shipment of stone in, in a few weeks.

Any home remedies to clear this crap out?

Re: Houston and surrounding cities!!!

Skip the SAE, they get up to 6". A better alternative is amano shrimp. They worked for my 5g when it was in its beginning stages. Had a hair algae outbreak and they cleaned up everything.

If that doesn't work, you can manually remove as much as you can, and then hit it with hydrogen peroxide.

Ah, a 12g thought i saw 120g. maybe too much light? Amanos cleaned up my Ebi in a couple of weeks of hair algae.

Indeed they are. Too bad they get so big. You could always use a sae temporarily and then pass it along after it cleans it up.

I have a dual T5 with 2 10k bulbs. I have a roseate bulb as a replacement. Should I replace one 10k with the roseate or just remove one bulb completely?

I have about 5 Amanos in the tank. I squirted a little hydrogen peroxide on the Anubias last night so I will see how that went this morning.

My light stayed on from about 7:30 am until around 9:30-10 pm. Now I have it on from 5pm-10pm.

This is definitely a huge contributer of the algae. That Is a very long photoperiod. If you have a ton of plants, you could possibly get by with that. Good thing you lowered it. I wouldn't go over 12hrs or under 6hrs after you get rid of your algae problem. 8-10hrs is a good amount.

I wanted an extended light period to grow the HC out, dwarf hair grass is exploding but HC not growing as fast as I would like, I might just let the DHG take over.

But ow all my tanks arent on all day like before.

Re: Houston and surrounding cities!!!

HC is a slow grower regardless of photoperiod. They seem to take off when emersed.
