Not all members will like every group. We are a club of and for all hobbyists, although there are many African hobbyists in the group. I, personally, am a S.A. & live plant hobbyist.
Our group welcomes all levels and interests, and although small, there is room for every member to participate, learn, have a voice, and enjoy their hobby with like hobbyists.
Join us and try it out. :-) No committments to register. :-)

I've finally set up my new 40B and my old 26 gal. bowfront (currently shown in my signature link) needs a new home. Includes stand and about 3" of Flourite Black with a little bit of Flourite Red substrate. Tank and stand have some mileage on them, but the price (free) is right- PM if interested- shipping is not an option.

Neither of those URLs are working. Is there another URL now, or is the club dead?

Tazalanche, that group went back to being a cichlids group. Ree123 had tried to open the club to other fish keepers and shrimpers, but it just didn't work. There were too many cichlid keepers and not enough to draw in the others. They are still a group, though, if you are interested in cichlids or have them already. look up music city aquarium association nashville, you will find them on google as well as facebook. If you are interested in shrimp or being a part of an online forum that has people near your area, check out hydraforum dot com. Many there as well as here, but we have a good selection in and around the Nashville area

Thank you Tlyons. We have had cichlid tanks off & on since 1993. We currently have a 135 non-submerged plant angelfish tank (pothos roots in the water to help pull out nitrates), a 54 low tech planted discus tank, a 55 low tech planted guppy tank & two 20H bare bottom tanks running for breeders or QT.

We just converted a 20L congo tetra tank into a planted red cherry shrimp "big nano" tank about 6 weeks ago. I am now learning the subtleties of RO water, trace minerals & starting CO2 to make the plants happy, but keep the shrimp safe. Once we are comfortable with shrimp, we will move that knowledge up to the 135 angel tank. The goal is returning to discus with a 250+ high tech discus tank in a few years. The 4 discus tanks we had running last year suffered major losses from poor source water & quality control on our part from a purchase of sick discus in 2012.

Thank you very much for the information.
