If that rock is a calcium base rock you will never be able to lower your ph. Id switch it out.

yeah thats exactly what it was i guess it just gradually raised and topped at 8.2... took the rock out added driftwood and did a massive WC. pH went down...

Anyone ever have a custom stand made in the Philly area? I'm looking to replace the stock Osaka 320 stand with something ADA-style but made from fine wood.

How far are you from Shrewsbury area? I have tons of fish stuff.

golden nugget definitely needs driftwood. And be very careful when changing water that has lower PH. Fish handle increases better than decreases. I have fish stuff too and have ton of plant clippings. Let me know if you're around Philly and I'll gladly help you out!
