Hey guys, this is actually my first post in the entire forum. I'll try to place another post somewhere else to introduce myself, but I wanted to first say hello to the locals. I am originally from Maine but relocated down to Marysville (Opposite side of the river from Harrisburg) a few years ago. I have just got back into fish tanks and have lots of questions as it has been a while (about 8 years) since my last tank. Look forward to possibly meeting some of you guys in the future.

Welcome to the forum Moose! You've come to the right place, there is such a wealth of knowledge on the forum it's overwhelming sometimes...lol and the people are outstanding. I have the pleasure of meeting a few folk from the philly area and I will tell you, you won't find a better group of people anywhere. Where in Maine are you from? My brother in law was stationed in Portsmouth/ kittery and visited there. Beautiful state, but freaking cold!!! But the scenery and the people more than made up for it. Again, welcome!!!

Hey Philly. I'm originally from Skowhegan, which is north of Augusta by about 30 miles, but was living just outside of Portland right before I moved down here. It sure is a beautiful state and I miss it dearly, but you're right, it is COLD! This winter has been the first in my life with this little amount of snow. My family in Maine just got pounded last night with 10 inches of snow. I'm enjoying flurries today!

You sir, are probably the only one who enjoyed the flurries. In my section of philly, it was like a freaking white out and I had to go out to bring a car in the shop and I think I might have lost a precious body part to the cold!!! Lol

Same here. I'm about as far northeast in the state as you can get and live just above the "snow line". I get snow and drive two miles away to see rain. By the time Feb goes by the books and days are starting to get longer, snowflakes are the enemy.

I know your area. I camp just outside of tannersville. Bushkill is such a wonderful area. I love the falls, but my knees and back really hate all those steps! Lol bet it is truly a sight to see with a little snow cover though.

I'm about 5 or six mile north of the Falls. Funny part is there's a LOT of locals that've never been there. I think me and the wife went before we were married. Lots of the kids work there in the summer though.

I have to drive through the National Park on my way to just about anywhere. If I'm not in a hurry, the snow can be just gorgeous. Other times, you either curse it and trudge out or hit the snooze button, roll over and wait for the plow drivers to do their thing.
