Welllllllll one of my female cacatuoides laid eggs already. Can't see how many are in there. I count 4 on the side wall that are visible. The male is ferociously guarding the nest and the female is isolated in the cave. This would be their fist time spawning so we'll see what happens!

Thanks dudes. Yeah it only took a week but they're already expecting parents. Funny thing is the male is smaller than the female! She's a full grown adult and he must just be sexually mature. It's their first time so if the spawn is unsuccessful than at least I know they'll prob lay sgain in a few weeks. Fingers crossed

Hey Bill, I don't know if it this works or is just coincidence, but if you are trying to propagate more of those crypts, it may be worth a shot.
I have inert substrate and injected micro nutrients into the substrate around some winditii mi-oya. All the points where I injected the ferts, new plantlets popped up within a week or so. I used Flourish, something like 5ml mixed with water in a 50ml syringe injected with a needle. Maybe go weaker if they are rare or sensitive, or just experiment with some more hardy crypts to see if it works or was just coincidental.
I'm going to try it with some other crypst (all mi-oya, I only have nano-tanks right now, not much room) and see how it works out.

Hey all, first time poster, long time lurker.

I have about 15 Buenos Aries Tetras in my 150 gallon planted tetra / angel tank that are nibbling away at my plants. They are healthy and about 2-3 inches. Beautiful fish, but not friendly like my other tetras.

Anyone interested? I am located in Norristown.

I'd trade for other tetras, harlequin rasporas, or maybe some plants.

We have wigglers!!! A little crappy quality but I count approx 30-40 in the cave. Will prob start loading them up on BBS and crushed pellets once the become free swimming. This is all under the condition that they survive lol.

Re: philly area swap list. great for local pickups!

I have not bin on here in like 6+ months. I have bin super Bizy lately.
Well I had a full 10# co2 safety valve blow on my last nite around 5 am with the tank sitting about 4ft away. That woke me up real fast. I had to change my underpants after that. After I stoped panicking and figured out what was going on I tried to mufle the noise with a blanket, probably not the best idea btw... I could have seriously burned my self. Then I started feeling like I couldn't catch my breath from the fog of gas in my basement. When the tank was done blowing its load I had a ton of dry ice in my blanket. Really strange nite... But now my issue is the bottle won't hold pressure, I assume I need to replace the safety valve? Can any one tell me where to go? Who around 19154 does work on aluminum bottles?
This sucks, not much going right for me with this aquarium as of lately.
Btw I get my bottle filled at nicholetties beer distributor, had it filled late yesterday afternoon, left the bottle in my car until after work at 2am, brought it inside and placed it next to my aquarium to give it time to warm up, and 3 hours later boom! Thank God for safety valves!
