Yea man, it might be even better if I drilled holed in the pvc to let the roots grow down through it too. If I wanted to get super fancy I would stuff said pvc with some sort of dirt mixture to feed the roots...but I'm not likely to do that haha. I would just dose them weekly in the water column.

Don't drill holes. If roots grow through them, you'll end up cutting them to get them free. They never grow straight! Lol throw them on the pvc in an emersed bin for about a week or so and the roots will take hold. You would be amazed at how fast the roots grow in an emersed state.

Finally got my car! I can pick up that 5.5 gallon tank from JR now and that SAE from Van Plus I can explore all those aquarium stores up by northeast now. Let me know which ones I should visit first!

Gotcha. I shouldn't be adding anymore fish to my aquariums anyway so maybe it's best I stay away from them for now haha. I really need to set up a central sump tank! I can't wait for my summer class to be over so I have the time to do it.

So many ideas/thing I want to DIY...so little time haha

Ok so i picked up this old co2 fire extinguisher my dad had laying around, what do i gota do to hook this bad boy up to my regulator? Depressurize it, take off handle / valve thingy, and screw on correct co2 valve and get it pressure tested?

Ummmmm. As far as i know, a fire extinguisher bottle is not adaptable. Different valving on the output. You only have a 40, grab a paintball setup from van and then we can build the rest based on your needs.

I just wanted a spare bottle. Already have a decent reg and all the goodies.
I thoufht i read somewhere you can change the valve on co2 fire extinguishers.
I think i even saw pix of some one else that did it. But I could b wrong as well.
