Who has a dirt planted tank near Hickory NC

I'm trying to use a dirt tank for plants and was wondering what to expect during the first few weeks. I'm growing dwarf hairgrass, Giant hairgrass and java moss on the way. I'm running LED tank hood that came with the kit which is lack in lighting, so I'm thinking of an upgrade to the Satellite LED Plus. Plus is there any other places to buy plants other than Petco or Petsmart in hickory NC. Thanks!

You will be way better off getting plants from other members in the For Sale section of the forums. That way you can get exactly what you want / as much as you need without having to settle for something other than what you wanted.

Def get your plant from other members. But as far as the dirted tank goes. It will tantis your water for weeks, water changes twice a week is good minimum of one a week, the color of your water will resemble tea! Make sure you have a cap on the dirt, flourite is great if not I use the small aquarium gravel. I like to use at least 2" of dirt, this allows for easier planting. Hope this helps, I'm just rambling but I enjoy a dirted tank.

Don't bother coming to New hanover county. Petco, petsmart, and pet supermarket is all we have.
