Woo HOO!!
I am eagerly awaiting this years seminar/auction. I have lots of plants and coral frags that I hope to trade/sell. I hope there will be as many good fish for sale this year.
Anyone know about sale/raffle items yet?

Probably won't know about sale items til that day, not sure about raffle items. Some of the folks that go regularly to meetings (i.e. not me because they are during the week and a bit of a drive from me). I'm really looking forward to it, though.

I remember that there were a lot of great discus there last year, but I can't remember if anyone was selling good quality angelfish. Do you know if there are any local angel breeders that sell their fish at the auction?

I remember some angelfish two years ago, but can't say if I'd paid enough attention last year or not (since I don't keep angelfish). I know that a Winston Salem person was trying to breed Altums, but not sure if she has any fry yet. She'll be at the auction, not sure what she'll bring. Wish I could be more help If you asked if Crystal Red shrimp would be there -- I would say I'm 90% sure they will be

I wish I could go! One of my profs scheduled a mandatory field trip on the 25th. I guess I'll have to wait until next year. I was really really looking forward to this one!!!!!

I've never regretted over engineering a system, but often regretted under engineering one.

The FBI is probably watching us all anyway; what with our high output lighting, CO2 equipment, and dry fertilizers.

Update:
There will be lots of great plants for sale at the mini-auction Saturday and the main Sunday auction. Mark Denaro brought in many beautiful and rare varieties of plants for sale. Additionally, there is a breathtaking display of world-class discus by Discus Hans.

Don't miss it or you'll be sorry.

Gmoney -- was that you that asked me about shrimp at the priority table? I'm sorry my brain was scattered at that moment!!! Sorry I didn't say much more. Did you get a chance to see the shrimp? Gerald brought them in late. I hope I didn't imply above that I sell shrimp -- I meant I was 90 percent sure Gerald would bring some. I'm not good at selling animals -- I worry too much about what will happen to them.

Yeah that was me. I didn't get any shrimp because they went for way more that I thought they would...sticker shock I guess. There were some beauties though. I kind of regret not getting the crystal reds. I am happy that I got some of David Ramsey's F1 Angels. They look great in my tank.
All-in-all I thought it was one fantastic auction.

Do you ever go to the RAS meetings? If you do, it's very possible that you can contact Gerald and he'll bring some for you. I'm not sure the price. Are you a member? I wouldn't put them in with the angels though! I'm glad you were able to get some angels. I have some of David Ramsey's killifish from last year's auction and plus he sent me some more this past Fall. He has nice fish

I am a member, but I have a hard time getting to meetings because I work down in Fayetteville. I also have the bad habit of working way later than I should. Bit of a work-a-holic.

Oh that's too bad. I don't get to meetings either, but may try to get to one or two in Spring or Summer.

You may can get gerald to ship them to you -- I brought him two car loads of styros from work!
