I promised myself today that I never go there again unless they have 50% fish/plants sale, at leats then they have healthy livestock/plants.
Aquarium Adventure usually isn't worth going if you intend on buying something , unless they have their 50% of fish sale or $1 per Gallon All-Glass tanks , due to the fact their stock/items are overpriced.

...but the fact they're like a mini aquarium (not your standard LFS), with alot of stock and tanks, I sometimes find it worth while just to browse if I happen to be in the area. It's like free admission to a mini-aquarium.

Visited the 8th Avenue Chinatown today..

Reef Aquarium had Dwarf puffers for $3, and Red claw macros for $5.

Not much going on at Royal Aqua, but they did have several tanks of this red stem plant I didn't bother IDing.

Didn't bother checking the other two stores.

I seen the Marble Gobies today also, didn't do much but was something different. All the lfs seems to be going thru a dry spell for the past few weeks to months. Is it just Manhattan?

Went by Win's & Pacific again today, Win's & Pacific still have their usuals, however Pacific have Teacup Stingrays, that's something new. I think it was $45 each and 3 for $90, their usual buy 2 get 1 free.

Just to let you guys know... Although our local selection is sub-par recently, Invertz Factory has had some great deals on Aquabid (and bargains since they include shipping).

Went to Aquarium Adventure Today. They had Amano Shrimp 3.99 ea. A lot of the plants were either dead or dying. The few that were still alive looked like they were in ok condition.

So nothing changed since I drove there last time. Last year it was much better, even when they didn't have any sale going, at least plants looked good. I recently saw amanos at fishtown usa for $2.99 or 3 for $8.

One more thing- have you seen true SAEs (Siamese algae eaters) anywhere in the city recently?

If size isn't a big problem, royal aqua world in brooklyn usually have them for 1.50 each. The ones I usually get from there are about 3/4 inches.
