If anyone would like to breed cichlids here's a perfect chance. Petland in Brighton Beach has a couple of jewel cichlids, probably Hemichromis lifalili, that have paired off. Their breeding tubes are showing & they're terrorizing all of the other fish in the tank. I know they will probably destroy the layout in a planted tank, but they're friggin' gorgeous. Plus they're 2 for $4.75!

They used to have a wider selection of stock but the guys running the store neglected the plants and fish. They do have a selection of larger crypts, anubias, and criniums though.

Went to Brooklyn Zoo & Aquarium to give some fish away, had a tank that had pygmy cories for 1.29 or 3/3, none left though. Also had red crystal shrimp for $7 a pop, looked like A or S grade.

Guys,

I'm setting up a 75G. Where do I find nice varieties of driftwood for aquascaping?

Pacific has some interesting pieces. Might be a bit pricey though.
