No more shrimp. Not sure if I saw any tetras. You'd best go ASAP since he's almost done cleaning out the store.

It would be a big help to the community (and WIN) if you could describe what was roughly left in the store as it would give folks an opportunity to decide whether to make a trip or save their time...

Answering questions by piece meal is nice but less efficient.

Just a warning, the ten emperor tetra I got from Win last month had camallanus worms. Two already dead, another is hanging on, and I've already spent 3 times what the fish cost to treat the fish and tank with another 2 weeks ahead of treatment via fenben and levamisole. Can't put any new healthy fish in this tank until I'm sure the worms are gone - which they aren't, just last night another tetra pooped out a dead worm, made blue by the levamisole flakes. Since even the dead looking worms might have live eggs in them, it's another 2 weeks to wait 'till they hatch and I can kill them. Not a fun way to re-start a hobby with my kid, haha - next time I'll just pay the pricier tag at Pacific and get some healthy fish.

I know this is directed to me but w/e.

The only dry goods left at Win as of yesterday are a bunch of filter parts (impellers, eheim canister bodies, aquaclear filter media (no bio media), and assorted pieces), assorted meds and expired test kits, clear pvc pipes, and some gravel. All the plants in the tanks are sold and the only other livestock available are his marbled crays along with the other fish I listed.

It's too bad you had this experience as Wins is closing. I've bought many fish from them over many years and haven't had a problem. I was at Wins the day A customer brought in the emperor tetras. So it's the customer who had fish with worms but unfortunately it's Wins reputation that will suffer. After being such a staple in the NYC fish community, I'd like to see Wins go out on top if you will.

Hey! That's weird that your fishes have worms... My emperor tetras are pretty fine. None of them died yet. I put in cardinal tetras, black skirt, ottos in my tank too and they are all thriving. I haven't seen any worms at all at least from the few weeks I've had them. GL!

They do have some glass tops still, not sure of the sizes though. 32" maybe? Swung by there for their last two fluval carbon aquaclear filters to clear the levamisole out of the tank.

Yep, down to 6 Emperor Tetra from the initial ten. Who knows, maybe it was the stress of the Levamisole treatment that did them in, but the worm issue is now taken care of - 3 Tetra down from that though. One of the Tetra is a ninja nipper, 1 is down due to fin nippage, another is MIA and I have to hunt for it tonight, maybe dead somewhere, so that'll bring it to 5 tetra - I don't blame the nipping on Win of course!

Disregard! I stopped by Pacific Aquarium in NYC and was blown away. Huge inventory in such a small space! I've been shopping at big name shops (and local breeders) for over a decade and was caught off guard. I picked up a cheap heater and Cascade 300 filter and will be going back.
