Has anyone been to Coarl aquarium in Jackson Heights queens? They've gotten mix reviews on yelp.

To echo what Aokashi said, poor stock and very underwhelming

Yeah, I use to go there all the time way back when....before I found out about Pacific aquarium in chinatown. Coral is ghetto and have very questionable (with respect to their health) fishstock. Haven't been there in about two years but I have no good reason to go back honestly.

They're way way overpriced. I only go there for emergencies if I need something as there is a Petland, but it's quite far.

The thing is though, they can pretty much order anything you would want if they don't have it-with a crazy markup of course.

They usually have nice plants though, occasionally have cherry shrimp (though I think they were like ... $4.50 each or something). They're family run and very knowledgeable about fish stuffs.

It's not all fish though, there's another section where they have things for other types of pets and they also have birds, some rodents (got 4 of my ratties there), gerbils ... uh ... snakes? I wouldn't buy other pet stuffs there as that room is somewhat filthy.

I will say the boys that work there are kind of cute. ^_^
That's where I usually get live black worms , their portions are real big and the worms are in good shape.
I live not far.

Are the worms usually by the counter?
Yeah , just ask those "kind of cute" guys for a portion ...

I met up with Jellie at Fishtown earlier to give her some CPDs.

Anyways, they still have juvenile SAEs in stock, labeled as "Flying Foxes" and I picked one up. They also have Betta pi for $12 each and Threadfin Rainbows for $6.50 each.

Thanks, I think the threadfin's at Pacific were less. (They were 3 for $14.98? I don't remember clearly) I may be able to pass by on Sunday, my wife needs me to help her deliver a cake downtown, so I get to bug her for a ride somewhere.
