Fishtown will often have pygmies for sale from time to time. Usually $6 for 6 or something like that. However sometimes they will be salt and pepper cories and not true pygmies.

guys, i'm ordering the following from kensfish:

Ken's Premium Earthworm Flake
Ken's Premium Veggie Sticks With Calcium
Ken's Premium Plankton/Krill/Spirulina Flake
Ken's Premium Egg Flake

These only come in 1/2 lb size so I'll end up with 2lbs of food total for my shrimps, who will eat once every few days. Logically I would want to find someone to split the order with. Is anyone up for it? If we do 50-50 split, it'll be $13 for you for 1lb of food (4oz of each).

i'm also flexible on the Egg Flake.

We can meet in Chelsea or Wall Street area or other locations.

Edited note: Jeez, when I write, I rant... Sorry guys! :/

I know I am because I have ONE (as in uno, واحد, een, etc) 5.5 gallon tank. So I need small fish for a small tank, and I love cories. I had pandas (they were 1/2 an inch and I didn't quite understand how big they got) but something happened (don't know what) and they all died. But it's fine now, 2 CPDs, 1 oto, microsword (I found Pacific. It is so... big, but Google Maps is wrong about where it is I think. Now I have Pacific, Win, and Petsmart all within a 2-15 or so block radius!) :P, java moss, a random plant, and a bunch of MTS reside there. I'm going to add 2 more CPDs, 3 or so pygmies (depending on price). Oh, and also 10 feeder goldfish cuz' they're so cute and small! (JUST KIDDING). Any other suggestions for plants, fish, or snails would be nice. Preferably something available at Pacific, Win, or Petsmart.

Oh, and Fishtown is 15 miles away...Not going there anytime soon for fish!

Cuteness factor aside, its probably because they're corys in the first place and I think most people have an inherent appeal to them as a staple aquarium inhabitant. So here's my little equation:

Cory + cute + small + big school + cheap + recent availability = the next new-and-in-demand fish!

They were like $1-$2 for the striped ones and the blacks ones were cheaper. I got a whole bunch of the striped ones.

Got some Galaxy Rasboras/Celestial Pearl Danio's from WIN today.
I got 5 of them but when I got home I found out that it was only 4, the other 1 was a Zebra Rasbora

Looks like Win has another tank of mixed fishes. Kinda like the Cardinal tetra's they have which usually has green neon tetras mixed in.

There was a bunch of CPDs in their tank. Not sure how many zebra danios are in there as I discovered it when I got home.
It was such a quick stop that I just asked for some CPD's, got it bagged and ran off.
I did catch a glimpse of a tank of otos for $1.50. If I had extra cash a while ago I would have gotten some as the otos in my tank were killed in a freak accident.
I made a water bottle fish trap for my female endlers and then forgot to take it out in the morning. When I remembered I had it, my otos were in there dead and so with some male endler and a green neon tetra.

Win does have a tank full of otos and CPDs. I would guess maybe 30 CPDs at 4.50-ish a pop.
