Request for New Yorkers

this is just a simple request if you line in NY State would you please place your town in your info and if you live in NYC state NYC not NY because its relay frustrating if you see some thing for sale in NY and its down on the island or some other far off place. NY is a big state i mean it takes about 6 hours for me to reach the city and i only live in Syracuse which is still nearly 1.5 hours from Canada

on a side not I'm working at JFK this week (week of 1/5/2009) are there any good plant stores near by

thanks

I don't understand. Are you telling me that people live north of Westchester???

Just kidding.

Good plant stores in Brooklyn and Southeast Queens/Nassau County? Not so much. You can drive up to Northern Boulevard and go to Fishtown USA in Flushing. Or you can travel east to Long Island and there are a couple decent stores out there.

If you can get out to Manhattan, check out Pacific Aquarium on Delancey. They have a good selection of plants and if you happen to get in there on the days that Chi works, he's the plant guy. Not to say the rest of the staff isn't great on their own, but Chi does custom plant tank installations..

Also, I think Pets Warehouse has a wide variety of plants but they're out in Copiague (Long Island). On their website it shows all sorts but I haven't been there in person yet.

If you make it to either places, let me know what you think!

I am a New Yorker! I live in Montgomery County, about 45 minutes outside Albany.
