My New York City people where are you?

Well...

This is my first post and i am happy to see that there are people in new york city that are also interested in the fish hobby. My poisons are Bettas and endlers. right now im trying to find fellow breeders in and around the Bronx(Anywhere in the City lol) that are working on projects of their own. So i was just stoping by to say whats going on and see how this forum is. if you are a guppy, endler or betta breeder or collector don't be afraid to send me a message.

Used to live in NYC

Just moved out to the burbs 2 months ago- hate the LIRR.
Great Fish stores, but not much beats Franks on Northern Blvd. in Queens.

can you post more accurate information?
I've lived in Queens for 20 years and
never heard of such a place. I know
there are some aquarium shops in that
Asian neighborhood by the Whitestone
Expressway, but I have never
been impressed by any of them.

we figured if you searth the New York forum
we all admire Fish Town USA on this web sight.
they primarily have low light plants such as
crypts and swords, and you have to be careful
to ask if a plant is for a pond immersed, or not.
their selection of freshwater fish is great, and
if you buy a few at a time, you can save money.
just don't buy any dry goods there, as that's
where they really rip you off something fierce.

Victoy in Chinatown has a lot red cherris shirmps, $1.50 per each with decent size! Even some with bright red.

The cherry shrimp at Petco in Union Square are $5 each! They look great, and the females were large and saddled when I went there two weeks ago, but the price is crazy.

Where is Victory in Chinatown? $1.50 is not bad.

Rather than Victory, I think he means Wins. Wins Tropical Fish is at 169 Mott Street has cherry shrimp at $1.50. The fish are similarly low priced.

I'll second and third that one! I've been going to him for many years now, and he always had great stuff. I recently got 15 from him for my two shrimp tanks that I recently started and they are all doing great. Very red. Very nice. I was there last thursday and can say that he had a 10 Gallon full of them.
