Good for Xmas?

So does anyone have this light? Current Sat + FW LED?
Looks really nice, how is it with plants? Read a little something about
it, seems most people are happy. Worth a Xmas gift?

I love the light over my 20H low tech. Not too much light, but not too little either. I like playing around with the different light sequences. Definitely worth an xmas gift!

Its an awesome xmas gift! I just got one. Those lighting modes are awesome. It sounds like a bit gimmicky at first but man they look awesome in person. The fact the light is dimmable (so you dont have to raise if there is too much PAR) and the various timers they are coming out with will make this an excellent addition to your tank.

Grows plants well, but it is not as strong as some of the other LEDs so it will depend how tall your tank is if you would want to use this fixture by it self or with another one.

Check out the SAT+ club in my sig there is a lot of good information and links in the first post. (also a lot of pictures and vids of the lights in action).

Thanks guys I'm going to put it on a 40b which has low lights now. I have anubias,a few crypts, fiss, and some finger java fern(?) all grow very well. All anubias always have new leaves growing. On the light I have one of the bulbs stopped working, even got a new one and still not working, also has an led moon strip. When lights are turned off it looks like you're underwater with the fish at night, cool. OK, this is going on the list. I saw it on Ken's, I bought my other light there. I think the Sat + was $87 and change, good price?

The Satellite LED+ will definitely put your 40g Breeder in the low to medium light category. i calibrated my light to only use the white and Red leds.

Another light which i find more compelling and slightly brighter is the Fugeray Planted+ LED. Having both of these lamps for a few months now. I have to admit, I do like this lamp a lot more than the satellite LED+. it is still in the medium light category but the light is brighter which will help with the 18" width of the tank.

I have three Sat +'s, love them. Look into the pro-timer that is coming out soon....
