Start point at Pacific Aquarium on Delancy @ 2:30pm
Pacific aquarium, 123 aquarium, 38 aquarium, Win tropical and Aquastar on the tour route. We are still looking for indoor options on where to swap.
At this meet, the theme will be dosing. Anyone who's able to help put together sample packets to share great. Due to the short time and the other tours of late, i'm not sure if i can order and pack all this stuff to distribute as i had in the past for the clay and floaters so i'd ask if some of the other forum members can help out here or step up to help.
Been thinking of holding a raffle for a prize. Maybe we can sell tickets for $.25 - $3 depending on the value of the prize and number of people attending. drawing to be conducted by a random stranger passer by out of a hat or bag. Any interest, please speak up. could be anything like a bottle of prime, ferts, or anything people may want to contribute.
As always, the invitation is extended to everyone who has expertise or interest in the hobby or just like pretty fishes and shrimp. Murderers and hooligans need not apply.
Any amount you can spare would be great! I'm not looking for a set amount; I'm slowly adding more leaves to one of my tanks to create a leaf litter bed for my kuhlis to worm around.
Hey CPrash. How much would it cost for ur SAE? It seems like I have an algea problem and someone told me to get some. Let me know if you are interested to sell or trade!
I don't like SAE . They don't work as hard as otos or snails and only go for certain types of algae , none that grow in my tanks . And when full grown SAE just seem to chase and harass other fish .
Amano's have been a bit hard to come by, but they're usually $2 - $3 at the big box Pet Stores and LES Shops (Except Pacfic, where it is $6 or 3 for $12). You can get a true SAE to eat the brown stuff, but note the size and its possible aggressive behavior as it gets older.
if this sunday proves to be a challenge, then we should tentatively pencil in the following sunday for the meet. lets wait until thursday to make the call.
Indian Almond Leaves (Out of it. I'll be giving 5 to the three people that have wanted it and the rest I will keep to myself =D). White Ivory Mystery Snails - 3 free! MTS - like a bazillion snails. Blue ramshorn - I think I may have some baby ones to spare. NYMPHAEA RUBRA - It's a red lotus plant. I think it grows too big for my 30 gallon and would like to give it a new home. Flourite regular and pearl beach. The regular is 15.4 lbs and the pearl beach is 22 lbs. I would like to sell these but a trade is fine.
Many of these I would like for people to take away except for the flourites. If anyone would like to give me some things, I would like some plants or nerites to see if I can get rid of the green water in my tank.
No thanks on the amano Aokashi. I am a beginner at this fish hobby and I don't want to kill anyones things x.x. It's going to haunt me for the rest of my fish hobby life.
If I go I would love a mystery snail, but not sure if I can go, or what the condition of my aquarium is. :/ Anyone know where to buy inexpensive mystery/apple snails in the Chinatown area in case I can't go to the meet?
i have a several brown ramshorns that have been very very busy in my grow out containers that can be offered for the swap. The containers have been retired due to the cold weather (and hurricaine) however their skills are still on par with what you'd expect.
Hi Szenic. May I try the najas grass please? I'll trade you for a mystery snail and some blue ramshorn =D.
