Fun fact, worms are not at all insects....shrimp and spiders are more related to inse ts than worms.
You dont have to rehydrTe them. The cubes are fun because the fish can pick at it when you stick it to the glass, but might be too much food dep. On how much fish you have. Just drop the food in like flakes or pellets
Hey all another random question.
Was told that my fish would enjoy some bloodworms and/or tubifex worms as part of a varied diet, I plan to get some freeze dried of both (wife will not allow frozen insects in her freezer.) one thing I can't find any info on is how to feed them to the fish do you just drop them in or do you need to rehydrate them at all. Also noticed that the bloodworms are loose and the tubifex worms are pressed into a cube any reason for that?
Just feed them as you would do with flake food. For the tubifex cubes, your could either tear them apart or press them onto the front glass.
Is your pea puffer behaving herself? I've seen them in stores harassing & taking chunks out of much larger fish.
I have 6 pea buffers plus 6 bumblebee gobies (all predators) in this tank, yes they are not peaceful but fun to watch when they chasing each other for territory....this is nature....to make sure everyone gets their share of food I will put live black worms into 4 corners when I feed them. so far so good
