Well. The green light (meaning its perfect temp) is on and the temperature? 72?
WTF. Its worse than the hagen 50w, which made it 74. AHHH.
I had this heater before. It works but also does not moderate the temperature as acccurately as you duly noted which worked out fine as 78 was higher than needed and it never reached that at all. For a heater of similar scale, i recommend the Hydor theo submersible 25w. I have an earlier generation with the light on the temp adjuster knob and the newer model with the light on the heater element itself. Both currently in use. Its been reliable and just plain does what it says it does for about $20. For larger tanks, i have good experience with the Aqueon Pro heaters and the eHeim EboJager, with the later being a bit more pricier.

Alright I'm working on my paper right now, I'm just trying to think about how I can fit aquascaping in a 3 page descriptive essay...

I coulda picked to make a story but i wanna prove my prof wrong so badly.

1st paragraph started out with introducing it
2nd talks about what aquascaping is and different tanks i guess?
3rd maybe talk about a hill with a tree on it and talk about what you would add in like fish, fauana ect.?
4th talk about making a mountain themed tank?
5th talk about making a forest?
6th....
7th....
8th I feel like this would be the conclusion

I go to Win all the time and have never seen this tank w/ wild neos. Which tank is it? And how much do they sell the wild neos for? Everytime I go I only see their sakura shrimp tank.

they are kept in the marble cray tanks, a few still left... mostly sold after our meet in sept

They also were in the guppy and planted tanks along the wall, near where the Locally bred PTR cribs are. They go for $1.50 each. Oddly, i purposely picked a few that were clear and they all colored up in my tank. not sure what happened there.

maybe talk about the fauna aspect as well....

there's also "sand waterfalls" you can probably make an interesting topic
like "how does one make a waterfall under water?"

Completely forgot to take into account hydroton FLOATING. Question, can I leave anubias emersed without transitioning? I've got hearts petites and a coffeefolia I think that was floating around for a while. Stuck em in a bathroom thing I got today. Photo soon...

You can keep them emersed. Just keep the humidity up.

Ooooh. Yeah, the hydroton likes to do that. You could try boiling it? It's supposed to help driftwood sink. I typically end up with a bunch that sink after a while, but some tend to remain floating.

^-^ Sorry I kind of cleaned Win out of wild neos in September ... I am sure that the tank will repopulate soon, though!

I stick mine in a net bag (like for onions or apples) and just force it down. Or I fill my canister filter with it.

Good to know. They don't advertise these shrimps do they? At least I had never seen a sticker w/ a price tag on the tank.

The old man usually sells them for $1.50 each. I asked him and he said that they constantly breed for him and he often has a bunch to sell after a month or two.

A lady donated a betta who she had for a while and could not take back with her to her country. I took it in. Its um, absolutely enormous wtf? Theres a "normal" sized betta next to him. Also haven't gotten around to getting darker/mesh dividers sigh. Got a heater in there finally though, toasty 80. Anyone whos interested in this boy, lemme know. He looks too cramped in there omg.

Heres the anubias. I put my lid back on to up the humidity.

Those plants weren't doing well in my gecko tank so I took em out, washed em... into the tank you go..hope they dont die! No lid on that half, wont be able to close it.

edit:
V hahaa, hes not quite giant betta, so..half giant fits the bill pretty well
