Yeah I was really surprised when more than one person raised their hand for it.

I wish I bid higher for those green baubalti shrimps in the beginning.
Those black tuxedo guppies , paradise fish, and kilis really were stunning. I sort of liked those kilis too... Lots of exotic stuff but seeing monsterfish giddy was reward enough

heartnets many ack! moments when openning bids started at $10 ran a close second lol

We really didn't plan on staying longer than seeing a few auctions however the excitement and laugher hooked us in. Rachel provided a great presentation (with help from chris' tech support) to get videos working.

Thanks to everyone for the food samples, plant cuttings and little critters. the h.formosas really are beautifully detailed. The two beautiful bettas from luis are also jaw droppingly gorgeous. Will have to post some photos once I have the small betta tanks setup. I think it would be nice to see everyone's setups at home, no matter how they are. I found a few so far that really I spired me to rescape. Hope everyone can post up theirs in the other "local tanks" forum. Its a bit more informak than keeping a journal and really more meant to show the effort we put in our tanks. For me, I want to see my dwarf water lettuce in all ny tanks lol... I was tempted to raise my hand for the gigantic head of cabbage they called water lettuce but I was afraid of getting DWL nightmares.

Ok back to reality... And my boring commute to work.

I would have loved to have witnessed it. Thanks for sharing everyone! And thanks tons for all the great stuff, VivaDaWolf, furnfins and ptr! The K-tank is so ready to go. Albert, I totally forgot to see you about goodies! lol maybe I will see you soon, I have to head to Queens to see Monster Fish anyway. And now I want to stop by Heartnet's to see his crazy loaches, lol.

I got Pygs from Rachel, they are all pinky-nail sized, the most adorable lil fellas! They're schooling with my older Pygs now, and even with the otos who are about 4x their length! The clown killies i got were a lot smaller than I expected, too. What kind of worms should I get these guys? They're demolishing my baby blackworm population, lol.

Julie,
sorry to see you leave early. The fun didnt even start then. Msjinkzd had some amazing manzanita from tom barr. The stuff for you went to everyone around but I have more for you when you are ready. Mister yellow shrimpy is doing fine with my orange and reds in the bowl. he was actually following the others around this morning as i left for work. We have to meet up to split the repashy as well and i'll have another scud colony pack for you.

I will likely pass on the BAS auction due to short notice (and lack of space and tanks if im honest.) However i am looking towards sprucing up the November meet to span state lines. Will also need my tanks to grow a bit to have trimmings to share with everyone. Can our meets get any better?

p.s.
Will be going through the threads to leave feedback for all the trades from last night. If you didnt receive one from me by the end of the day, please lmk.

p.p.s
Awesome photos aokashi and MrBrongher! Note to self, bring battery with camera next time

What a neat meet up. Thanks everyone for plants and goodies, Thanks Rachel for the livestock and for catching me crabs that are smaller than just about anything and for the presentation, extra special thanks to Chibi for the ride.

I got some pics; henceforth people on this board, I authorize you to say "Hey, Matt, you're hair is sticking straight up." Sigh

For what it's worth, Lucania goodei, the blue finned killi, can be kept with young Pseudomugil gertrudae. There are some moments at first where the bluefins come racing over to see what these are and if they'll fit in their mouths, and the P. gertrudae seem to wonder what these bigger fish are and if they're about to get eaten, but come morning they're copacetic, mostly sticking to themselves.

This should probably go in the fish forum, but whatever, it's so specific I hesitated to post it at all. Maybe one day someone will do a search for this specific pairing.
