Do we need a ticket to go in? or is it a free entrance?

Please forgive me for my grammar mistakes!

REF: http://www.greatercity.org/

Each meeting features a Bowl Show (limit 2 entries per member--members only); the speaker/program listed above (free for all--no admission fee); an aquatic plant, fish and aquarium hardware auction (open to all bidders); a door prize drawing (for members only); and a raffle (tickets $1 each or 6 for $5 -- open to all).

I'll add this to the first post to save from being lost in the shuffle.

3 fish dead today I just tested it, and I dunno. The pH could be 6-6.2 .... they come from a tank where its like 6.4 or less. But yeah, the pH in my tanks have always gone pretty low and I didnt bother raising it because it didnt seem to be a big issue with the fish in it. Ammonia was around 1ppm Im not sure if that was from well, a fish being dead in it. I didnt feed them and had mostly clean water when I transferred them to the bin. So I dont know. I got 2 kribs left in a cup and Im not sure what to do with them right now. Throw em back in the main tank?

I'd love to trade for CRS, RCS or some cories, or some dwarf hairgrass, or maybe some blyxa.... but hey, bring what you have - I'll trade with anything
I have some blyxa. I will gladly trade some for that bolbitis!

What kind of container are you using? Some plastics leach ammonia.

Sterlite bin..kept a betta in there for a while...and he was fine (Alberts new guy) but..I guess bettas arent the best judge of bad water. Excited to see new people though.

Is water sprite trimmable? Mines way too bushy, but I only pluck the babys (with roots) that grow on the stem parts, I dont know if cutting the entire stem will work- Ive heard both.
Got some really nice stems of cabomba that need a new home :P Hoping to bring some more hygroryza, some hygro sunset and tiger as well. Bunch of water sprite babies. Getting tired of stem plants because they dont ever look nice in my tank. Let me know if any of yall want, otherwise I wont bring em.

Still up for grabs/trade:
adult german blue ram, pretty sure its male
Baby black mollies
Guppy endler mutts- yellow cobra mixes, got both males and females
10 or so glowlight tetras

Meeting for Dinner

Looking at the restaurants on Main st between Roosevelt and dahlia ave, there's one place on 41st avenue that has decent food, reasonable prices with ample seating. On google its called Chao Zhou Restaurant. Its a first floor corner restaurant with a large red noodle bowl on the roof.
Its across the street from the queens library and starbucks and relatively easy to find. There's a municipal parking lot directly behind the place as well.

http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=Fl...sz=18&t=m&z=15

Everything is in walking distance. I'll be coming by the 7 train. The LIRR main st stop is on the same block as the restaurant which is only a 15 ride from Penn Station.

There's a few bakeries and other restaurants along the way but seating is limited and they largely cater towards family style dining. Depending on how we feel after the meal, we can jump on the bus or take a 10 minute walk from the restaurant. There's a Kabab place closer to the park but the food tends to take 15 min or so to cook and several hours to digest...

I encourage others to suggest places that might work as well.

Yup thats the plan for next time, when I have $10 to spend on a breeder net

Are we all meeting up and having a big asian dinner? Doesnt matter to me where we go, but it would be nice if we were all together and the place has room for all of us.

Is anyone looking for a beautiful adolescent krib? He has started to chase my slow cardinals which tend to swim into the glass. I only have one.
