hmm pacific has them? I don't really remember seeing them when I look thru the store. Then again.... I'm usually focused on the shrimp stock and plants and last time I went was in June. I remember seeing salt water puffers though.

Seeing as you are located in Brooklyn, maybe you can try going to those chinese fish stores by 8th ave since that was where I bought my dwarf puffers from but that was 4 years ago... Not sure if they would still have them but you can give it a try

Oh I went around a few stores and called a few numbers but they either didn't have it or they MIGHT be in stock in about a month. I don't want to wait that long because once school starts again I literally won't have any time to make fish trips. :\

Currently owning:

10 Gallon - 2 Honey Gouramis, 4 Peppered Cories, 1 Guppy

5.5 Gallon - 1 (fat) Dwarf Puffer

1 Gallon - Breeding Ramshorn Snails

Figure 8's and Spotted puffers are good and all, but the little dwarf puffers are much cuter! (and smaller) Dwarf puffers are at most half their size.

I went to Fauna by 86th last week, and they had two dwarf puffers, might want to check there. They're getting pretty serious about freshwater fish + plants.

If I recall correctly they were $10 each. Pretty high price, but from my experience they have top quality livestock. I saw one of the puffers and it had a beautiful pattern of blue spots on its back.

May want to call before checking it out, they are not yet consistent with stocking.

Try to get them from Pacific. They don't have them all the time. All 6 that I bought from them are happy and healthy (~1 yr later).
