Just found this thread. I am in Manhattan but used to work on LI, that counts!

I am growing (not too fast, excel only):

Anubias Barteri / Minima / Nana / Petite, Hygrophila Angustifolia, Echinodorus Angustifolia ('vesuvius'),
Cryptocoryne Nevillii / balansae / Wendtii green gecko /Lutea
Crinum Calamistratum, Java Fern narrow leaf / trident, Blyxa Japonica, Ludwigia Repens,
Ranunculus Inundatus, Hygrophila pinnatifida, Murdannia sp. 'Red, Polygonum sp. 'Kawagoeanum',
downoi, Staurogyne repens, Marsilea sp, flame moss

I will likely be breeding my blue eye ricefish, some oryzias sp that i couldn't find much info about, given that i have 2 fry with crazy blue eyes the size of pinheads in a qt tank without trying.

Hope to see some of you at the auction if I make it. Cheers!

this is my second coming... i was in the hobby then left due to time restraints and now back in...

currently im restocking from gordon... however stuff that i had left over from my past life are

a few bettas (crown tails / half moons that i got from a breeder in manhatten then breed by yours truely)
snake skin guppies (indestructible guppies i swear)
peacock gudgeon
ohh and a tank full of marble crayfish (started with 1 and now i think im at my 5th or 6th generation surprisingly enuff the tank crashed at one point but then there were like 1 or 2 surviviors and now im completely repopulated again)

java ferns (regular and windelov)
anubias petite

with my second coming im gonna attempt to breed shrimps this time around... i was doing good with cherries but thanks to the bettas i ended up with zero cherries left (bettas ended up eatting my original stock as i didnt have time to care for them )

This is great! I'm really excited to find this resource! I'm just starting to get into planted aquariums. It's great to find threads like this. Thanks so much. Sadly, I have nothing right now except an empty 55g tank.
I live on long island. Is there any planted aquarium clubs here or in the city?

There are two that I know of. One is a Nassau club, another is one that meets at the Brooklyn Aquarium. Also nice ones in Jersey and Conn. nearby (1.5 hour drives for both of them)
