yeah I was really suprised when i saw them and even more suprised on how healthy they were. He has some what look like gold nugget plecos but they were named something else but they are really nice. I bought some clown plecos. I could of spent alot of money on the variety of fish he had but im saving up for a nice school of marble hatchets the only thing he diddnt have. PS check out his orange dwarf crayfish in his show tank they are cool lil guys.

The gouramies are alive and well so far. Im not sure what to feed them they peck and nibble on TetraColor tropical granules. Im thinking I better start culturing some live foods like vinegar eels and daphnia. Does anyone have suggestions on what foods to feed these little beauties. There color is fantastic nice dark brown with vertical tan lines once they settle in a bit more I will take some pics to share with everyone.

sweet! Mine are still alive and all six look healthy on inspection. Im setting up a 20 gallon 24" long 17"wide and 13" tall Just for these guys. Lots of plants and nice drifwood peat stained water with low lighting for now. I read that they dont like bright light at all. I hope you have as much luck with me and have all 12 survive. Somwhere I read the best the guy could get was a 40% death rate with theses fish.

well with a quick check this morning i spotted 5 but its a heavily planted 75 so i suspect there all in there. prior to these guys i had 4 angels that were about 2.5" tall in the body and I would only be able to see one at a time there are so many plants. as for the low lighting i think I'm good i had 2 of my fixtures burn out this week so now i have 18 watts over 75 gallons oddly enough my crypts are growing like mad along with my valls and other assorted low light plants. any ways good luck with the tank, though i think i remember reading no to place more than 4 per 30 gallons. i know I'm above that but I'm hoping the fact you cant see from one end to the other helps.

keep me posted and let me know if you have any more shrimp to sell. i seen you sold some to jamesville.

well last night i noticed 2 males swimming in circles and fighting then this morning one was dead im bummed but i diddnt have enough hiding spaces for them maybe 6 is too much for that size tank, I have red cherries probably close to a thousand of them.

Well I put them in there new tank just a lil while ago. I have a mag 5 pump running with a marineland C220 its got halph sponge halph peatmoss running on this tank. The PH is down to 6.8 and I put new driftwood in to release tannins. I also have the output pointing straight up and the water stays quite calm slight slight current.

Maybe you can describe the water conditions your fish are in?

i have my 12 in a heavily planted 75 gallon tank very subdued lighting

water is moderatly hard ph of 7.8-8. syracuse aquarium was holding them at a PH of 7.4 so i did a 3 hour drip aclimation

it seems to have worked i counted 10 when i got home. i think the other 2 are in there some wares i didnt see a snail pile or shrimp congirating in one spot.

Yeah that would be a good indicator if there was any dead ones. What kind of shrimp do you have in there?

just ghost shrimp i use them to verify that a tank is ready to accept fish, the only hard part is trying to catch them all so i can move them back to there tank.
