FS NNJ: Complete 36Gallon Bowfront - Eheim, T5, Nicely Planted

Update - 1/19/14 - The salt water big is biting again. With my 30G Taiwan Bee Tank, I cannot justify having another tank and am putting this one back on the market. Asking $300 for everything, which I think is an absolute steal.

Well TPT, the salt water bug has bit hard and I would like to gauge interest in my current setup. Up for sale is the entire equipment and livestock list as follows:

Aqueon 36G Bowfront Tank, glass stop and Stand (Purchased September 2011)
Eheim 2213 Canister Filter (Purchased June 2012)
Marineland 200w Submersible Heater (Purchased September 2011)
Zoomed 24" T5HO lighting (Purchased January 2012) (I will also include the 30"t8 fixture that originally came with the kit, although only one bulb works) - Bulbs in them are ~ 2 weeks old.
Substrate consists of a case (4 bags) traditional flourite seeded with Root Tabs and a healthy Malaysian Trumpet Snail populations

Plants:
Anubias Barteri
Rotala Rotundifolia
Red Ozelot Sword
Green Ozelot Sword
Java Moss on Driftwood
Subwassertang
Crypt green gecko, red, bronze, and Florida Sunrise
Red Tiger Lotus

Livestock:
1 Albino Ancistrus
9 Golden Pristella Tetras
2 Nerite Snails

You'd be welcome to the couple nice driftwood pieces I have, and any other fresh water bonuses I may have laying around.

Please let me know if you'd like to see pictures of anything specific.

Asking $500 for everything, I have well over $1K into it.

**Price is now $300**

Much appreciated!

I think I am asking fair value for it...

I'll gladly provide a finder's fee if someone refers a buyer.

You trader!...Just kidding...Is that a real gourd or ceramic decoration?

If so, how do you keep it sunk? I have some gourds I would like to try with my Blue rams, but I'm hesitant

That is a coconut husk, and my golden rams loved it. They spawned in it a few times, and I gave the pair to a friend who has a tank dedicated to breeding them.

Thanks for the compliment, aznrice247. I think it's a good deal, and even better it's still available! I'd be keeping this if my landlord would allow two tanks.

Stay open minded about the price. People are unloading nice tanks on Craigslist all day long for a song and a smile?

I am open to offers.

I've been keeping an eye on craigslist for SW supplies... seems like the stuff on sale is older, lesser name brand, or in very used condition. Everything here is new, it's a complete package, and of quality brand.

A friend came by and adopted some of the live stock... price drop to $425! This is a hell of a buy for just the equipment, nonetheless the substrate/plants/livestock/driftwood.

Just give you my two cents....
Maybe you need to sell of the items separate as I know personally i never spend more than a $125 ish for a full 55 set up. I have bought a couple of 72 bow fronts for under $150. And 125 gallon tank set up for $300....
My point is maybe its worth selling the equipment separate to get the value out of it... The fact is a used tan is used and doesnt hold its value...
Just y opinion good luck.

I appreciate the input. I'm hesitant to do that, as the fish won't do too well without a filter, and the plants without a light.

I know the North Jersey Aquarium Society is holding its auction at the end of this month. If I do not get a respectable offer by then, I'll donate the livestock to the auction, RAOK the substrate, and sell the equipment.

I was hoping someone would be interested in a turn key setup capable of keeping beautiful plants and fish. I'm in no rush to sell, and I feel the package presents good value. I do see very cheap things going on craigslist but it's usually low end equipment or the equipment is visibly aged and in rough shape.

if you end up selling the stuff separately i might buy the eheim filter (depending on the price of course).
