LFS: Animals & Things, Woodbridge NJ

Animals & Things
1040 US Highway No 1
Woodbridge, NJ 07095
(732) 855-8515
(entrance RT35 South exit ramp on US1 North bound side)

Animals & Things has been in Woodbridge since I remember. I do most of my shopping there. They carry a large assortment of fresh water tropical fish and have a very good assortment of equipment and supplies. Although they do not specialize on planted tanks they do have a large selection of ligthing, filtration (no Eheim :S), and tanks.

When did they stop carrying Eheim?

About 1 month ago, I saw a shelf in horrendous disarray with all the Eheim parts and stuff on it in there, some marked down, some not, and some cracked/not usable. Found a length of 5/8 hose in box for $4 and a nicely hidden installation kit 2 for $7. Couldn't find anything else worthwhile...and boy did I look.

Found a place on Rt. 3 near clifton (can't remember the name at the moment) that carries the common Eheim media and flosses, but for parts, order em, or order em through my LFS (and sometimes he has them buried amongst the counter)...

It wasn't Absolutely, was near the Roche plant I believe, on the west bound side though...Roche is on eastbound 3...

I believe that is NJ Pets there on Rt. 3 or something like that. It is right by the Tick-Tock Diner.

The only reason to ever go to Animals and Things was to pick through the old Eheim stuff!

It isn't for the aroma of non-aquatic live animals!?

The aroma is a little hard to handle in there at times this is true.
Now that I think about it my garndmother's barn had a better aroma.
