There has never been that much activity in the Nebraska forum. I have only seen a handful of people from Nebraska actually participating on this forum over the years. As far as the assassins go I would post a WTB thread and just have them shipped to you. You will not be able to find them any cheaper than from a member on here. My LFS wants $6 a piece.

30 plus for a batch would be hard to swallow for me and my pocket book.. I really wish our state was a little more active, I looked around online for a little while for any local fish clubs. I found a saltwater group from the Omaha area, but if I recall the posts that showed up were dated around '06... Who knows if that group even still exists...

Popped in to a couple shops. Found them at $3 each at fish freaks... If anyone else is looking for them at a decent price.

Yeah there is not a whole lot of clubs around that I know about anymore. There used to be a club that I attended a few times back in the 90's(yeah I said 90's) but they were mostly cichlid hobbyists.

That's a really good price for your assassins, glad you found some. Hopefully they will breed for you and you can supply some of the few Nebraska hobbyists.

Hey Ua Hua, if you're still following... Have you kept the corkscrew eleocharis in water or only in the riparian zone of your pond? Does it grow the same?

If your talking about the corkscrew rush( Juncus effusus) it's in about 6-8" of water in my pond. It's not a elocharis but I do have some elocharis montevidensis or at least that is what I believe it to be in the pond also. You can see it in the picture below. You wouldn't want to plant it too deep just so the roots stay wet as it's a marginal/bog plant.
