I don't know much about mainfolds but how should I do this? How should I split the co2, by maifold or by needle valves?

Also I am planing on getting a tom's mini canister filter for the 20 long. I don't have much space so I can't get a full sized canster filter for this one. Do u think its sufficent for it? Or can I split my XP2 from the bottom tank to this one? Is that possible?
The toms may work I have no experience with it. I wouldn't try and run 1 canister for both tanks by splitting the Xp as if on clogged the romm may become really wet! Also for your CO2 I would contact Rex Griggs and get a manifold and extra needle valve so you can split your line and have a needle valve on both tanks for precise measurements for both tank. You may have to bump up your working pressure some also for this to work.
