Next time you see something like that, tell them to stop and ask them if you can do it. Maybe you can help that person be a little less of an idiot. I do it often. If they start to get angry I tell them that they are doing it wrong and walk out of the store.
If you see something that bothers you in a store like that, let them know. They either don't know better or they don't care. You will be able to guage which of the two it is by their reaction to your comment.

very true. i thought of saying something but i thought it would be rude to tell the guy how to do his job. but obviously since he doesn't know how to do it, i'll do it myself.
