I would choose Cherries over Tiger Barbs. Cherry Barbs are super peaceful, unlike Tigers. The males have great color and while it would be alot of red, you'd be much happier with less aggression I'm sure. Keep the Cherries in ratios of 1 male to 2 females. They don't need a school, so you could have a trio or 2 trios and then a large school of Harlies. I suggest having atleast 12 of those....definitely worth it!
