what about a tek t5 retro fit? you can get 2x80 watt bulbs for ~$150 from sunlight supply (if you have a 60" long tank)...if you have a 4' tank you could get 2x54 watt for ~$120 and augment with another, single bulb and reflector...or the sun blaze T5 strip...look around here

I figure the retro will be good since you can place the ballast wherever you want; it may give you more flexibilty when building your canopy (maybe)?
and by the way, if you can't tell i recommend you get some t5's...
